art car

We happened upon this interesting vehicle on our way home from the apple orchard.  It’s apple season and we have enough apples now for two pies, not that I’m going to make pie. I’m thinking baked apples perhaps.

Check out the art car, so stated on its bumper.  On top is a person who appears to be hanging onto the car so he doesn’t fall.  I wish I had kept my camera on when we passed because I didn’t get a photo of the front of the vehicle, which turns out to be an old pickup.  The person’s face is right above the windshield and it’s got this huge nose!! Ah well,  you can still get the gist of it.  Amazing the things we find when we’re observant :)

Here’s a couple photos of some mums at the apple orchard.

      1. I think you may have missed my post of both cats? It was a work of art!

besides….Fritz does not like getting his photo taken I’ve noticed. Because each time I go to take a pic when he’s looking at me, he almost always gets up! Dang. strange boy that one. he’s lucky he’s so cute!

      2. :)

btw….I spent most of yesterday working on our next trip to Spain. I just had to even if it’s still 1.5 years away….do you have any hotel recommendations for Barcelona? I think I found a good one but there are sooooo many! perhaps there’s a better one.

  1. I love unusual sighting that pop up when you least expect them. Lovely pictures. That ‘truck’ looks curious.

Lately I’ve seen an awesome array of hesitant fall trees and I wished I had my iPad to capture them in their shy glory. <3

      1. you should be here! the trees are just getting going. it’s just lovely. hopefully I can get some good shots before some stupid wind comes along and blows all the beauty away…..

      2. I drove to an appointment this morning and on some streets, depending on the types of trees, there isn’t much color. On other, you see lots of yellow trees. I kicked myself for not bringing along my iPad. I would never think something like this is if was for all the gorgeous pictures everyone is posting. :-)

  2. Toby, my daughter and I love reading bumper stickers, interpreting vanity license plates, etc. on the way to school. I think she would get a kick out of this. Regarding apple pies, my wife told me just yesterday, that her aunt who lived with them, loved her dearly and would make two apple pies, one with cinnamon and one for her without, as she did not care for the spice. Have fun with the apples. BTG

    1. I bet your daughter would like this art car too. We thought that by going to the orchard the apples would be cheaper. The one we really like is the Honeycrisp, invented right here at the U of MN. Those are the ones that were the same price as the grocery store. We also got some Haralson, also delicious but a little less so than the Honeycrisp. yea, I’m not a pie maker. that’s hubby’s job during the holidays and these apples will be gone by then :)
