Autumn in the twin cities 2023

We’re just past peak for autumn colors here in the twin cities and I’ve taken many photos that I want to share. Luckily it coincides with Denzil’s Nature Photo Challenge. Do go and check out some other entries at the link as there are many lovely photos of autumn hues.

Let’s start off with some close-up photos in their various shades. Maples, oaks, sumac, crabapple and ivies:

Next up, various autumn scenes from around my neighborhood and one from my kitchen window. I love that view this time of year:

Some scenes from our leaf-peeping tour of the Mississippi River Roads, both the east side and the west side:

A couple photos of cosmos which are one of the last flowers that continue to bloom into autumn:

Finally, various close-ups of leaves on the ground.

  1. Stunning photos! I especially enjoyed all the close-up shots, which reminded me of walks in my neighborhood, and also those of the eye-popping Cosmos. Thanks for sharing!
