Don’t quit, fight one more round

When things go wrong
as they sometimes will,

The mind is such an interesting thing don’t you think?  I read this great book last year “The Untethered Soul”, and when I have more time I hope to write more about it.  Indeed, I’d like to read it again. Basically, it talks about the chatter in your mind. We all do it but we all do it differently depending on our upbringing and our experiences throughout life.  I have been working on quieting the negative chatter and trying to live in the moment, but it’s not always easy.  A day starting off with a migraine, a co-worker’s very loud fan, a looming deadline can all cause your day to go to hell.  And so try, try again the next day.  I think the trick is to push those things out of your mind as they happen.  Not the easiest thing to do, especially if you’re me :)

This post is a bit vague on purpose as I can’t go into detail about why I put it together.  “Don’t quit, fight one more round” has been with me since my teens.  I’ve read it countless times and it’s a source of comfort and courage for me to keep going.  To keep reaching towards that goal that will have an end eventually.  God willing, it will be soon.  Until then, this survivor has to keep chugging along.  I hope to write more about this later.  For now, please enjoy one of my favorite poems and some quotes about success.  Because success is failure turned inside out after all.
